Hello, dear friends! The Terminal List is an action, drama, and thriller series recently released on Amazon Prime Video, starring Chris PrattConstance WuTaylor Kitsch, and many other talented actors.

Alina and I have more or less binged the first season of The Terminal List over the weekend, five episodes on Saturday and three on Sunday, so now I’m ready to write a short review for everyone here.

First of all, I want to let you know that The Terminal List is based on the #1 New York Times bestseller with the same name, written by former Navy Seal Jack Carr.

I listen to the audiobook a few years back, and I enjoyed it tremendously, especially since it’s narrated by the amazing Ray Porter. So, you can imagine that when I learned that the book has been adapted into an eight-episode series, I was very curious to see what they did with this captivating story.

The Terminal List follows Lieutenant Commander James Reece, a decorated Navy SEAL who has nothing left to live for and everything to kill for after he discovers that the American government is behind the deaths of his entire team during a shady secret operation that went dramatically wrong. In his investigation, our war hero discovers that this was not an act of war by a foreign player, but a conspiracy that runs to the highest levels of the US government.

Now, with revenge on his mind, Reece applies the lessons that he has learned in over a decade of constant warfare to execute vengeance upon his new domestic enemies. The writing is good, the story moves fast, the pacing is balanced, and it’s a satisfying experience to watch Reece ruthlessly targeting and dispatching these individuals in the upper echelons of power without regard for the laws of combat or the rule of law.

Reminiscent of Jason Bourne, and Without Remorse, The Terminal List has proved to be a quite enjoyable viewing experience. The casting is excellent, especially with Chris Pratt bringing to life our troubled seal in his quest for retribution.

When it comes to audio descriptions, I’d say that these are more than serviceable, but from time to time, there are things that are missing and should have been there.

There are definitely some differences between the story in the book and the one in this series, but I think that, regardless of whether you read the novel or not, you will enjoy the adaptation.

If you like Jason, Bourne, Jack Reacher, and Jack Ryan, you should definitely check out The Terminal List!

Please let me know what you think about the show, if you’ve watched it already or if you would consider giving it a try after reading this review.
