Hello dear friends! Yesterday we finished watching The Lost City, a brilliantly written, beautifully produced, and flawlessly played romantic comedy filled with adventure, that everyone should definitely try. The Paramount Pictures production stars Sandra Bullock, Channing Tatum, Brad Pitt, and Daniel Radcliffe.

When best-selling, but reclusive author Loretta Sage (Sandra Bullock) is kidnapped by a ruthless billionaire (Daniel Radcliffe) who demands that she leads him to the treasure found in the ancient lost city from her latest novel, help will come from the most unlikely and unexpected protagonist. Handsome cover model Alan (Channing Tatum), Who has graced the covers of Loretta‘s books for many years wants to show the world that he is not just a boy toy, but a brave man that will not leave the woman who made him famous when she needs him the most.

What follows is a feel-good and epic jungle adventure that doesn’t miss a chance to poke fun at other so-called blockbusters. Filled with a huge amount of pop fiction references that made us laugh out loud, exotic locations, insane action, unexpected twists and turns, plus the excellent chemistry between the main and even secondary characters, The Lost City left us truly delighted and extremely entertained.

The audio description is OK, but not perfect. There were a lot of opportunities to offer more insight into the story and the events happening on the screen, but the person who wrote the script for the audio description did not take advantage of them. For example, when the two protagonists reached a vantage point from where the entire jungle could be seen, the narrator didn’t describe the actual scenery although there was no dialogue, but just some music. But, as a blind individual, I enjoyed the movie tremendously and Alina filled in additional details when the audio descriptions track didn’t.

The Lost City is fun, fast, smart, and will remain for us one of the best movies of 2022. We recommend that you watch it with your significant other so that both of you will be thrilled by such a great adventure.

I hope that you like this review and that you will try out the movie.
