Hello dear friends. Yesterday we’ve received a review code for Star Trek Resurgence, a recently released narrative adventure game featuring dialog-driven role-playing and rich branching storylines.

Star Trek Resurgence is a Telltale-style adventure game that follows the crew of the science vessel USS Resolute,, as they will be involved in a delicate diplomatic mission mediating relations between two alien races. The action is set in 2380, after the events of Star Trek: Nemesis and before Star Trek: Picard.

The game is developed by Dramatic Labs, a talented team formed by former Telltale writers, developers, designers, artists, and producers.

While Star Trek Resurgence may not be the most visually impressive or polished game of 2023, it compensates with its captivating storyline, excellent voice acting, and enjoyable music.

Star Trek Resurgence truly has its heart in the right place! In the video above, you can watch an exciting sequence from our playthrough. We made sure to select a portion that doesn’t contain any spoilers, allowing you to dive into the game without prior knowledge.

Currently, Star Trek Resurgence is in a rough state with various glitches, bugs, and occasional abrupt conversation endings. However, even with these issues, if you’re a Star Trek enthusiast, you’re likely to find enjoyment in Resurgence. It’s worth mentioning that accessibility is absent, and Star Trek Resurgence is only available on the previous generation of consoles, not the current generation.

If you are willing to overlook these shortcomings, Star Trek Resurgence will feel like a very familiar format that you can definitely enjoy. The story is broken into multiple episodes, so by the time the credits roll, you will think of it as a full season of one of the classic series.

Despite its shortcomings, we still love Star Trek Resurgence, and Alina is eagerly looking forward to continuing her adventure, to discover new worlds and new civilizations, to boldly go where she never went before!

Star Trek Resurgence, is available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.

Happy gaming everyone!
