Don’t miss out on Award-Winning cozy puzzles Art of Flora and Art of Fauna: two fully accessible games for blind players and everyone else

Hello, dear readers!
Austrian indie developer Klemens Strasser has created two relaxing puzzle games that combine historical illustrations, educational content and accessibility: Art of Fauna and Art of Flora. His work on Art of Fauna has received several awards, including the 2025 Apple Design Award for Inclusivity, the 2025 App Store Award for Cultural Impact, and recognition at the GACON Awards 2025 and the 2026 Gaming ohne Grenzen Awards.
Both games are available now on the App Store, offering an enjoyable way to explore the natural world while taking a break from our busy lives.
Art of Fauna
Art of Fauna is a relaxing puzzle game about the animal kingdom, featuring historical wildlife illustrations from the 18th and 19th centuries by artists such as John Gould and Joseph Wolf. Each artwork comes with a description of the animal it depicts, allowing us to choose between reconstructing the illustration and solving a text-based puzzle to learn more about the natural world.
The game features two volumes, each containing 110 puzzles across five regions. The first ten puzzles in each volume are free, with additional content available through in-app purchases.
Visit the official Art of Fauna website or download it from the Apple App Store.
Art of Flora
If you prefer plants and flowers, Art of Flora offers a similar experience focused on historical botanical illustrations by artists such as Marianne North and Pierre-Joseph Redouté. We can reconstruct the artwork or solve text-based puzzles, discovering information about plants and the artists behind the illustrations.
The game features 110 puzzles across five regions, alongside artist profiles, a map showing the native and introduced ranges of plants, a home-screen widget displaying completed artwork and a Kids Mode. Again, the first ten puzzles are free, with additional content available through in-app purchases.
Visit the official Art of Flora website or download it from the Apple App Store.
Accessible by design
Both games support VoiceOver, Voice Control and Switch Control. Additional accessibility options include simplified text, dyslexia-friendly fonts, customizable color schemes and content filters. Their text-based puzzles provide an alternative to visual puzzle-solving, making both games fully accessible to blind players, as I can confirm from my own experience.
iPhone Duo updates
Both games have also received updates supporting iPhone Duo, with improvements designed to accommodate the device, including landscape mode and interface adjustments.
I encourage everyone to give Art of Fauna and Art of Flora a try. Whether you enjoy learning about animals or discovering fascinating plants, these award-winning cozy puzzles offer a wonderful way to relax, exercise your mind and disconnect from the constant noise of everyday life.
Happy gaming, everyone!
