Whether you’re a die-hard fan of Mario’s classic tunes, entranced by the grand themes of Zelda’s Hyrule, or hooked on Splatoon’s catchy beats, Nintendo Music promises an all-access pass to the music that’s defined decades of gameplay.
Exclusively for Nintendo Switch Online members, this app offers an enormous library of soundtracks spanning almost forty years. And here’s the kicker – it’s all included with your membership at no extra cost. That means anyone with a Nintendo Switch Online membership can start exploring the vast archives of Nintendo music today, making it the ultimate trip down memory lane for fans old and new.
Soundtracks at Your Fingertips, Anywhere You Go
Nintendo Music isn’t just about streaming your favorite game tunes – it’s designed for a truly interactive experience. You can stream songs directly from the app or download them for offline listening, making it easy to dive into the sounds of Nintendo whenever, wherever. Looking for the perfect track? Nintendo Music’s search function allows you to browse by game title, track name, or even playlist, so you’ll always be just a tap away from your favorite themes. The app even lets you browse by screenshot – a unique, visual twist that makes finding your nostalgic tunes even more fun!
For those moments when you need background music for work or study, Nintendo Music has you covered. Loop your favorite tracks or extend them to fifteen, thirty, or even sixty minutes for seamless, uninterrupted listening. And for those cautious about spoilers – don’t worry! You can filter out soundtracks that reveal critical game moments, keeping your experience safe from surprises.
Build, Share, and Discover Playlists Tailored to You
Nintendo Music goes beyond simple streaming by offering a platform to create, share, and discover playlists. Curate your own “Best of Mario” or “Legend of Zelda Journey” playlist and share it with friends, or explore playlists put together by Nintendo for some fresh inspiration. And the app doesn’t stop there – it personalizes recommendations based on your Nintendo Switch play activity, so each session feels tailored to your gaming journey. As new music gets added over time, you’ll always have fresh content to explore.
Nintendo Switch Online: More Than Just Games
Nintendo Music is a fantastic bonus for Nintendo Switch Online and Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack members, with individual memberships starting at just $3.99 per month, it’s a small price to pay for access to an entire world of gaming soundtracks – plus the usual perks of Nintendo Switch Online, like access to classic games and the ability to play online with friends. For players who want the ultimate Nintendo experience, the Expansion Pack offers even more benefits and growing game libraries.
If you’re new to Nintendo Switch Online, now’s the perfect time to join. There’s even a seven-day free trial available, letting you explore the full range of Nintendo Music features and other member-exclusive benefits without any upfront cost.
The app is already number one on Apple App Store so I guess that Nintendo just struck a gold mine with this one. I wanted access to Nintendo soundtracks for many years now and I’m happy to be able to enjoy them whenever and wherever I am.
For my blind friends, the app is usable, but there are some labeling issues when it comes to buttons, which can raise some problems for voiceover users. I reached out to Nintendo about these issues and I hope they will update the app at some point in the future. Regardless of that, it is truly magical to be able to listen to these soundtracks on the go.
Sign up for the seven days free trial here.
