Entertainment Review: Elvis – HBO Max
This article has been posted as early access content for my friends and patrons from Patreon and made publicly available at a later date.
Hello, dear friends! Last Friday we had the distinct pleasure of watching one of the best movies in recent memory. After a workday for both Alina and I, we relaxed in what we call a movie night in our home.
We’ve invited again Helene, one of Alina’s colleagues from work and a dear friend of ours, to experience together with us the fantastic biopic Elvis, which was recently made available on HBO Max.
Now, I’m on the balcony, with my iPad and a wireless keyboard ready to tell you why we loved Elvis so much. I press play on my AirPods Max and to the beat of the epic soundtrack of the movie, I write the following:
Elvis is a superb piece of cinematography! From the fabulous actors to the perfect direction, to the above-mentioned absolutely epic original soundtrack and all the way to the tragic life story of the famous Elvis Presley, this movie will make you see the King of rock ‘n’ roll in a different light.
Exactly as advertised, ELVIS is a stellar big-screen spectacle starring Austin Butler and Oscar winner Tom Hanks in unforgettable roles as Elvis and his enigmatic manager, Colonel Tom Parker.
The almost 3 hours long movie explores the relationship between the star and his controversial manager over a span of over 20 years, from Elvis’s meteoritic rise, to his unfair demise, and to his unfortunate death in his early 40s.
I can tell you that all three of us watched the movie with wrapped attention and we loved every minute of it. Elvis can stand proudly alongside Bohemian Rhapsody as one of the best biopics in cinema history!
If you like Elvis, I highly recommend that you watch this beautiful film as soon as possible.
This is cinematic storytelling at its best! You’ll be delighted and entertained by The King himself in a production that deserves to be granted all possible awards out there!
Sometimes you feel like words can’t make justice to something and this is exactly how I feel now. So, stop reading and just watch this damn good piece of entertainment. Oh yeah, the audio description is so good and seamless that you won’t miss a thing and don’t even realize it is there. Huge congrats and thanks both to the person who wrote the script and to the narrator. I was the only blind person in the room, but even those who can see have enjoyed the AD track and benefited from its insights.
Let me know what you think about Elvis, the movie, and hope you’ll give it a chance.
