LEGO Education launches brand-new STEM sets for kids, expanding beyond the classroom for the first time.

Smiling man seated at a wooden table holding a small white-and-black LEGO animal figure with both hands; he wears a dark jacket dusted with fake snow and a light sweater. Three colorful LEGO Education boxes stand behind him, featuring large illustrations: a blue whale on the left box labeled "7+ 45201 461 pcs" and a rocket/space scene on the right-center box labeled "8+ 45200 519 pcs." The tabletop is scattered with assembled STEM LEGO models and loose pieces, including a white ramp-like platform with tiny penguin figures, translucent blue orb and crystal elements, small robotic and mechanical builds, and a taller white-and-blue robot near the right edge. In the background, a blue shelving unit holds books, a globe, framed art, and plants; a striped lampshade sits to the left. The scene conveys playful, educational STEM exploration and discovery, with bright, colorful artwork and hands-on builds arranged across the workspace.

Today, the LEGO Group and LEGO Education launch four innovative STEM sets, specifically designed to inspire curiosity, exploration, and scientific discovery at home, for children aged 7 and up.

Developed in collaboration with educators and inspired by real-world challenges, the sets are grounded in core STEM passion points – space, animals, and nature – and bring real-world science to life through hands-on, independent play.

Every LEGO Education set masterfully transforms learning into an adventure through its clear and engaging “Build, Solve, Invent” play loop. First, in the Build phase, children follow instructions to build challenges, setting the stage for scientific discovery and hands-on experimentation. Next, the Solve phase sees them actively testing, tweaking, and applying their knowledge to creatively conquer challenges. Finally, in Invent, their understanding deepens as they apply learned concepts to devise their own solutions for new, open-ended challenges, fostering continuous experimentation and sustained curiosity.

To mark the launch, British explorer Steve Backshall demonstrates how the sets turn children’s big ‘Why?’ questions into hands-on discovery. Watch the inspiring mini film here.
