Hands on with God of War Ragnarök Valhalla

"God of War Ragnarok Valhalla" artwork. It features a large, imposing stone gateway with Norse-style carvings and the silhouette of Kratos, a muscular, armored man standing in the foreground, facing away from the viewer towards the gateway. The game's title is overlaid on the image in large, stylized lettering. The atmosphere is dark and misty, suggesting a cold, ancient world.

Sony Interactive Entertainment and Santa Monica Studio announced during The cGame Awards that a Free DLC for God of war Ragnarok is arriving on December 12 and being a huge fan of the game I immediately jumped back into this epic adventure once the content became available. God of War Ragnarök: Valhalla celebrates the combat we know and love from God of War Ragnarök and blends it with fresh, experimental elements inspired by the roguelite genre.

God of War Ragnarök: Valhalla serves as an epilogue to the events of God of War Ragnarök and follows Kratos on a deeply personal and reflective journey.

Brought to the mysterious shores of Valhalla accompanied only by Mimir, Kratos will enter its unknown depths to overcome trials within himself and face echoes of his past.

I spent around one hour in Valhalla and so far it is as accessible to me as a blind gamer as the original game was.navigation assist works quite well, all the sound cues and menu narration are there, but as we were expecting, the objectives, codex, skills panels aren’t narrated by the screen reader.

The experience in Valhalla is all about customizing weapons and attributes so we can just choose blindly between them and continue slaughtering mercilessly everyone in our path.In Valhalla, defeat in combat is not the end of a warrior’s spirit. If Kratos falls, he will reawaken outside the doors ready for the next try. During each attempt, we will learn and adapt to the challenges Valhalla has to offer.

If you own God of War Ragnarök, you can download God of War Ragnarök: Valhalla for free from the PlayStation Store.
