LEGO has revealed the Luigi and the first-ever large-scale Mach 8 Kart set

The LEGO Super Mario Luigi & Mach 8 set, showing Luigi seated in the Mach 8 kart. Luigi has light skin, a black mustache, bright blue eyes, white gloves, and a green helmet with a white circle and a green “L.” The Mach 8 is mostly blue with yellow accents, including a yellow stripe on the front, a gray front intake, and four large black tires with red star-shaped wheel details. A white round badge with a green symbol is on the hood, and there’s a small flame detail near the back suggesting a speed boost.

Start your engines! The LEGO Group today revealed the LEGO® Mario Kart™ – Luigi & Mach 8 (72050), the latest addition to the line-up of LEGO Super Mario™ products. This highly detailed model is inspired by the beloved Mario Kart™ series.

Designed for builders aged 18 and up, the set includes 2,234 pieces that bring Luigi and the Mach 8 to fans in brick form. The buildable figure features a posable head, arms and hands, seated confidently behind the wheel of the first-ever large-scale LEGO brick recreation of the Mach 8 kart.

Builders can display the kart on its stand at dynamic, race-ready angles, capturing the excitement of a Mario Kart™ showdown mid-drift. For added interactivity, the model can also be removed from its stand and rolled forward. Turning the steering wheel turns the front wheels, and turning the back wheels will spin the flame exhaust, allowing for a playful movement alongside static display.

The Luigi & Mach 8 set is the ideal counterpart to the LEGO® Mario Kart™ – Mario & Standard Kart (72037), sold separately, letting fans create a full head-to-head display of their favourite characters.

The LEGO Mario Kart™ – Luigi & Mach 8 (72050) is available for pre-order today (10 March 2026) and will be available for immediate purchase from 1 April 2026 via LEGO.com/Luigi-mach8 and LEGO Stores, priced at £159.99 / €179.99 / $179.99.
