Hello, everyone!

I’m super excited to let you all know that we won 2 tickets for a private screening of HBO’s The Last of Us first episode at a cinema in Oslo.
The contest was on Facebook, organized by HBO Max, and the prizes were awarded based on a creative comment left for the following question: “What you’re most excited to see in The Last of Us and why?”

And here is my reply:
“Please allow me to tell you a little story. In 2013 when the first game was released I was completely blown away by the amazing graphics and most of all by the immersive storytelling.
I played hundreds of hours of that game, I finished the story multiple times and spent time in the multiplayer. After that, my vision has dropped significantly and I became blind. Luckily, when part 2 was released it came with an accessibility suite that allowed me to continue the story and enjoy it just like anyone else.
This year, in September PlayStation and Naughty Dog released The Last of Us part I which also included fantastic accessibility options. They went so far as to feature audio descriptions for the cutscenes which was something revolutionary. Now, when it comes to this show I have absolutely no doubt that it will be something special. We have the creator of the game plus the Director of Chernobyl, another fabulous HBO production, so yes, I would very much like to experience this in the cinema.
Yes, I said that I’m blind, but I always go to the cinema and enjoy the movies just like anyone else. Although I have a good sound system at home, the sound in the cinema usually is much more immersive and if you send me the two tickets I will happily go with my wife to the premiere. She is also a huge fan of the video games.
The Last of Us is the best game out there and now this universe will be extended with what seems to be a fantastic series. Can’t wait to see what the new actors will bring to the story. Thank you for reading this, happy holidays.”

The confirmation that we won came just a few minutes ago from HBO Max:
“Hi Victor Dima! We love your answer and are as excited as you are for this event. We’d love to invite you and your wife to the pre-premiere of The Last of Us! Send us a DM here on Facebook and we’ll share further details.”
So, this Thursday, January 12, Alina and I will dress nicely and attend this special event. Everyone here knows how much we love The Last of Us and we can’t wait to experience the first episode in a real cinema!
