Take-Two has just announced that they’ve delayed the release of Evolve, a co-op shooter created by Turtle Rock Studios into the first quarter of 2015.

The game was scheduled for an october 21 release, but the CEO of Take-Two, Strauss Zelnick, decided Evolve needs more polish, and that it will sell better in February with less competition from other games. I think they were very concerned about Destiny.

CEO Strauss Zelnick said on the financial call to investors this evening, the game deserved to be given more time for the developers to polish, and February is a better release window.

He also noted that T2 has historically released large titles outside the holiday release period.

Evolve will be released now on February 10, 2015 for PC, PlayStation 4 and XBOX ONE
